I am a retired MD, now working as a B2B commercial writer for medical companies, helping them showcase their products to other companies.

My background includes certification in internal medicine, pulmonary and sleep medicine. Science, technical information and products are not strange to me. My initial training has been in direct mail marketing and persuasive writing, but lately included Web content, e-mail campaigns, weekly blogs, sales brochures, press releases and video sales letters. For the last two years, I have been working in Holzer Health Services Marketing Dept, requiring 100 + articles, interviews with photographs, primarily for hospital newsletters, and some for local newspapers, and social media.

My goals have been to improve the hospital’s reputation and market share. Another goal was to translate medical jargon into understandable, yet entertaining, and humorous writing.

Writing is fun, and new ideas, new things, and new ways of improving market share are also fun and interesting to me.

My background has made quick and better understanding of technical products easier to put into understandable print.

I am a member of AWAI Circle of Success and the Professional Writer’s Alliance. Writing is an art form, and I am constantly looking for ways to increase the art and the consequent results. All businesses need writing of some type, not usually the favorite job of managers, and a skilled copywriter can usually generate a better line for them.
